Ben is a trained Digital Mentor - your 'digital buddy'. Ben teaches practical technology survival skills and specialises in helping people with basic technology skills to use their devices. Ben’s individual one-on-one sessions can help you make better use of your mobile devices (phone, tablet or laptop computer), applications, social media, computer-based and online services and the all-important cybersecurity awareness and safety online.
Individual sessions are tailored to your own individual learning needs.
Here's a basic checklist of apps to get you thinking about updating your skills:

WhatsApp Free messaging & video calls. Best for family group chats and seeing grandkids on video without high costs.

myGov / Medicare / Government services. Essential for checking health records, pension details, or tax info.

Google Maps. Getting around for driving; it’s great for finding bus and train routes or checking if a shop is open.

Your Banking App. To check your bank balance instantly, transfer funds, pay bills and spot any "odd" transactions early.

VicEmergency. Vital for real-time alerts on bushfires, floods, or local emergencies in your area.
Cost: $50 per 1 hour session (includes introductory chat to find out your needs). BYO mobile phone or tablet (e.g. iPhone or Samsung), laptop computer or ask us about using one of our devices.
